Vancouver Business and Technology Rights Lawyer

Dawn Wattie has been the President and sole practitioner for Dawn Wattie Law Corporation since its inception, serving clients in Vancouver, Victoria and across British Columbia since 1997.

In addition to practicing business and technology rights law, Dawn acted as corporate counsel for many advanced technology and online companies and for the University of Victoria's Innovation and Development Corporation, an organization responsible for managing technology transfer issues and related matters at the University. She currently acts as corporate secretary to a public junior mining company.

Through various senior level positions in the private sector, Dawn has accumulated a unique and diverse blend of legal and corporate experience. She held the role of Chief Operating Officer and Counsel for Stage 3 Media Inc., a Vancouver based enriched media company. Stage 3 released a live action series that was distributed through multi-format channels as well as being broadcast online and on television. Dawn was also President at DL Consulting Ltd., an organization that provided strategic business and intellectual property services to clients in the technology sector.

Dawn was also previously the Chief Operating Officer and Counsel for OverInterActive Media Inc. OMI is the developer of DimeRocker, an innovative social media portal featuring free-to-play 3D multiplayer browser games, webisodes, ARGs and proprietary user authoring tools. 

DWLC is passionate about the environment and issues related to sustainability and not for profit organizations that represent the interests of aboriginal and other social services groups. Dawn has acted as a Director with local businesses and provincial organizations dedicated to post secondary education, international development and recycling.
