Our organization, Artist Response Team Inc (ART, incorporated in 1991) has been working with Dawn Wattie since early 2005. ART is a production house that specializes in music, entertainment and learning resources that educate about the environment.

Dawn has been invaluable in several key areas, and facilitated the development and expansion of ART’s work greatly:

• Copyright law: ART has ownership of many songs, musical master tapes, radio and television productions and educators’ handbooks. Dawn has ensured that our “legal house is in order”;
• Fundraising: in 2005 ART took a “great leap forward” by securing three-year core funding. Dawn developed strategy and oversaw development of supporting documents that enabled ART to recruit two major sponsors;
• Community outreach model: through Dawn’s strategic planning, and then personal introductions, ART’s work was partnered with city and regional district governments, which allowed us a much greater platform from which to work.
• Project development: Dawn oversaw the establishment of the non-profit group, Artist Response Team Society (ARTS), to facilitate the licensing and distribution of materials and projects on behalf of ART Inc. She struck a series of Memorandum of Understanding with various organizations to partner with ART.
